Burlington Youth Council Begins

Burlington Youth Council is off to a great start!  On Tuesday, February 9th, the new youth council held its first meeting.  Jackie Ekdahl, an SCI AmeriCorps member, led the group.  The Youth Council is a wonderful opportunity for students to create changes for the better within their own community, based on their personal interests and ideas.

SCI is implementing the Burlington Youth Council in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn, funded by Comcast. This marks the sixth Massachusetts location replicating the SCI youth leadership curriculum.
